Hooray! Bella's playmate is finally here! After roughly 16 hours of labor, Baby Kim was born this morning at 2:37am, weighing 7 pounds! Both baby and mommy are resting and are healthy. Great Job, Christine! My memory of labor is still fresh in my mind so I know the intense experience was probably pretty tiring. They don't call it Labor for nothing!
As for Jimmy, what a trooper! He loyally stayed by Christine's side through the entire ordeal to cheer her on. Despite being a supportive husband, Jimmy made the fatal mistake that most husbands make while their wives are in labor. Instead of encouraging words like, "You're doing great! You're almost there," Jimmy encouraged Christine by saying things like, "C'mon, you can push harder!" and "You're not trying hard enough, push like this." We all knew he meant well, even Christine recognized his good intent. But poor Jimmy was reprimanded severely with exclaimations like, "Shut up, Jimmy!" and "Don't touch me!" Poor Jimbo. Better luck next time, buddy.
Christine promises to send me pictures soon so I will post them as soon as I get them. From preliminary hearsay, the baby looks like Christine, with her cute button nose and round face. Thank goodness! We might be in trouble if she had Jimmy's facial mole! Just Kidding, Jimbo!
