Today I spent the day with my friends in Milan. We went to various historic places and learned about the rich Milanese culture. Best of all we ate lots and lots of gelato, which is Italian ice cream. Yummy!

| The Duomo |
Next door to the Duomo is the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, a beautiful four-story arcade gallery named after the first King of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele II. It's one of the oldest shopping malls in the world and has many expensive shops and restaurants. And with its beautiful arched glass ceiling, it's really a breath-taking sight to see.
Speaking of shops, this week is Fashion Week in Milan where all the famous clothing designers and artists from around the world show their work by putting on fashion shows. Models and famous designers were everywhere, and all the famous actors and actresses come from all over the world to see the newest fashions. Bella would have loved the scene, especially the booth where young girls got to get there hair and makeup done by professional makeup artists! And Maddie would have loved the beautiful models with long Rapunzel-like hair:
Today's hint for Maddie and Bella are: for your own pair of fashionable socks look to the place where you store your art and fashion. Look for them all. Good luck!
