Kids are so ineresting. No matter how well we think we know them, we’ll never be able to read their minds and we definitely will never be able to predict what they’ll do next. Take for example, Bella’s newfound mobility. She’s still not walking on her own, but she crawls every chance she gets and walks using the aid of anything with wheels (e.g., highchair, baby walker, stroller, mom on rollerblades [just kidding]). Here she shows off her 4-legged prance:
She walks/crawls throughout the house, but has always steered clear from the stairs, probably because she hasn’t thought to master that feat.
Until one day, out of the blue, the stars aligned correctly, trumpets called to her, and the gods summoned her to climb the treacherous flight of 16 steps to the second level. Bless her determination! She climbed the entire way without looking back, taking a 5-second break only to catch her breath. And when she reached her summit, she looked down at her trodden path, took a deep breath, and smiled. Now if only she knew how to climb down…Here’s a glimpse of her ascent:
