We also went to the Pantheon, an ancient-old structure built by the hands of the Roman people. Back then there were no machines or trucks to carry and lift the huge stones into place. Instead, thousands of men worked for hours over many years to build these colossal structures. Many men died in the process, but today, we still enjoy the grand beauty of these ancient ruins.
Can you believe that these buildings are actually thousands of years old? Only a few of the buildings are standing today. In earlier times, emperors tried to reuse the buildings so they were torn down to reuse materials for new buildings. The Pantheon survived because it was turned into a church and back then there was a law saying that you could not teardown churches. Today it is still stands as a church.

One of the best parts about being in Rome are the beautiful statues and buildings throughout the entire city. The bike ride took almost 4 hours long and we were very tired afterwards. We even got to cross a bridge over the river where the river divides and there's an island in the middle.
After the four hour bike ride, mommy and daddy were very very hungry and we went to this pizza place and ate the yummiest pizza in the world. Mommy and daddy ordered three different types of pizzas and we almost finished all of it, that's how hungry we were.
Did I mention that mommy and daddy love you guys and miss you guys so much? We love you and miss you so much Bella and Maddie Yun. I hope you guys are being good girls and mommy and daddy are buying a lot of presents for you guys. I want you to give each other big hugs every day and pretend the hugs are for mommy and daddy.
